"Stay was good. Shower 🚿 head needs some attention. Leaking. Mattress needs to be changed slowly caving in in the centre. Sleeper couch mattress is horrendous. Sleeper couch was grubby. Needs a good clean. Overall the place was spotlessly clean. Came across 1 cockroach. Pool was good.
Cleaning staff and security are very pleasant. Front desk not sufficiently manned. "
"An absolutely charming place with charming hosts. Traveling as a single woman it was very safe and convenient. Coming and going is hassle-free.
The internet and televison reception are excellent. Water in the shower nice and hot and the bed big and comfortable.
Couldn't ask for more."
"The service was amazing and the accommodations were spacious. It’s centrally located in a safe area and easy to get around. Very popular, so make sure to book in advance "
"Handy and nice hotel for Durban. Location not on the beach but good enough. There is 24 hours security and secure car park.
The breakfast and restaurant is very good.
This round my room is facing the road, can be a bit noisy compare to inward facing room."

"We had an amazing trip
The beds are so comfortable and the service is excellent.
Really enjoyed the breakfast and there were separate vegetarian/halaal options which was awesome.
we were just disappointed to get a 2nd floor apartment which was too low for a sea view, there were no apartments available on higher floors"
"We loved our stay at the Suncoast Hotel. The rooms were lovely and clean and the staff were so kind, friendly and attentive. We would stay there again for sure. "

"The hotel has an amazing vintage architecture. The building is amazing however it needs a some tlc. The reception ladies are great, they made me feel welcomed specially that it was my first time in Durban. The security guards was really good, very welcoming as well. I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with a nice sea view and it's very quiet, you get to relax.Just wish they could just could take case of the building outside, it really need some work. "
"I love staying in old well-kept hotels. The Royal Hotel is a perfect example. I stayed on a high floor facing the harbor. Always something going on out there from a tiny lone sailboat to a whole sailboat race to a tugboat on mysterious course in the wee hours. "
