"Our family stayed in this cottage for one week in July and another week at the end of August. We enjoyed both stays! The first week coincided with a heat wave. We missed having air conditioning, but we were grateful for the many ceiling fans. Everything was as expected. The only surprise was that the bedroom with twin beds, living room, and second bathroom are all on the lower level. Just something to be aware of if you're traveling with kids. It also meant not being able to use the living room area in the evenings, since it was directly beside the kids' bedroom. The close proximity to the Bowman forest was nice. We explored the trails a few times and got nice views of the lake. Unfortunately, there is no public swimming access on Lac Escalier, so we drove 25 min to Air, Eau, Bois park to take the kids to the beach. We also discovered a great playground and splash pad in Val-des-Bois."

"The cottage is nice; the beds are comfortable; spacious enough for 5 adults. The property is as pictured. The rivière Rouge has a fast current, ideal for paddle boarding but you must drive your boards back to the cottage. We parked at a local campground nearby. You can tie your tubes to trees and float,its not a swimming river."

"Clean, easy check in and accurately described. Would come back for sure! Only thing is I wish the yard was fenced as we were with our dogs but other than that, perfect. "

"My partner and I spent 3 nights in cabin 5. Easy to get there. Very Cute rustic looking Cabin. 2 minute walk across the road to the private beach. 2 minutes away from shower. Wood for fire close by, Clean, comfy bed and pillows! Even the cinderella Toilet is cool to use 😂 Lovely place for peace and quiet. Lac des plages is not crowded at all.. for me its perfect. Only one constructive comment that I can think of.. I did not ask if I can move the outdoor firepit but i think that it can be moved closer to the front or move the big baril. Nothing Major lol just blocks the view while sitting under the tent. ;) Thanks so much!"

"Our stay at the cabin was truly delightful. Tucked away amidst serene surroundings, the cabin exuded charm and coziness. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, ensuring our comfort and providing helpful recommendations for local attractions. However, one aspect to note was the occasional lack of water pressure in the taps. While this didn't detract too much from our overall experience, it did require us to be mindful of our water consumption, especially when cleaning dishes and such. Despite this minor inconvenience, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin and would recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with thoughtful hosts."
