"Nice secluded area; owner is NOT joking when she says bring food and water with you because closest store is 45+ minutes away (same for gas) ; the local general store doubles as a burger stand and was delicious; we made the trip to 100 Giants and Kern River ; both were great!"

"Wonderful communication, great location, beautiful home, and amazing views. We had such an enjoyable stay for my son’s wedding at the Springville Ranch. After asking, we were able to do our rehearsal dinner on the property which was amazing. We couldn’t have had a better experience staying in this home with such amazing views. Thank you!!"

"Decided to try something different for my daughter's birthday. We've tent camped and trailer camped in the Sequoia National Forest a bunch of times. This is not far from there and was a great place to stay with all the amenities you could ever want or expect in a remote location. The kitchen was fully loaded with cooking utensils and pots and pans and the propane grill worked perfectly. Had a great time and left feeling refreshed. Planning to come back to do some more hiking in the fall or spring."

"This cabin was so cute and quaint. Not to mention dog friendly. We really enjoyed our time there and it was perfect for what we needed. The host was incredibly quick to answer and very kind when we had questions or small issues that arose. There is a small market in town, but I would say it’s best to do major grocery shopping in a larger town on the way in."

"The house is perfectly clean. Also, I want to mention an amazing soundproofing. There are no sounds from another rooms, it is amazing! All bedrooms and dining room are placed on the first floor, so, all rooms are really easy for access and ready for comfortable living. The house is located near Seqoia national forest entrance, but you should be ready for a long time travel. The road is very slow - it is serpentine. We visited that place in June 2026 and I have to say the forest is almost destroyed. But there are some beautiful places near camp Nelson and something else.One negative thought about the place: a lot of the bugs on the yard. Crickets, cockroaches, something else... I felt uncomfortable on the yard, but I understand it is their home. An I must to repeat: the house is perfectly clean!!!So, IMHO, it is 10 from 10 for national forest gateway."
