An older hotel, it seemed, but very well kept and with a lot of interesting character. Everything was very clean, staff friendly and efficient, room spacious and breakfast interesting, delicious and well presented. I recommend this hotel, if you want something with more of an older Arabic character and different from the modern style.

An excellent place to stay in Dubai

The Riviera Hotel is an excellent place to stay. Each time I stay, I'm impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Plus it's in a great location right next to Dubai Creek. The rooms are well appointed, the restaurant provides an excellent breakfast - what's not to like?!

Hotel is very clean and staff is friendly, only issue is you cannot find taxi easily and need to use app for taxi. The hotel itself is very fine.

I will recommend

Really pleased with the service offered, kind and welcoming staffs. The hotel goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is worthwhile. Not the most modern but it has lots of character and charm. Nice location in the bustling Baniyas road, close to the creek and Metro station with cab hailing just outside the hotel, 12mins drive to the airport at low traffic times.

Spacious clean rooms. Enough amenities. Very good breakfast with some choices. Friendly hard-working staff. We specially book this hotel thinking for long term luggage storage, but we had to take our all the bags for our seven-day trip, because security at the hotel did not give permission for long term storage. Looks like security has more power than the management of this hotel! (We used to store our luggage in other hotel without any problems) We had noisy upstairs people, and they started coming to rooms at 3 in the early morning and made packing noises, big kids running/jumping, banging sounds for over one hour every day. Once we complained to front desk two times still nothing happened, so we went knock their doors personally to stop that issue. We stayed seven days and same trouble every day, we gave up complaining to staff as they could not solve that issue with those people!! We paid extra to get Creek view rooms but did not sleep properly 7 days. The staff work hard to keep this hotel clean all the time, nice flowerpots. The Bellman Omar, room attendant Wazir and breakfast cook Akshan are always full of smile and very friendly with us and other guests. Big thanks to dining room staff.

I liked being in a part of town that is old and has some history. I also liked to be on the Dubai Creek and enjoyed thaking the small ferries to visit some sights. Very convenient to the metro as well. The room was very comfortable and well furnished. The cafeteria service off-hours was great and breakfast was very abundant and offered great variety of food.

The hotel was very responsive to our overall experience and made sure that we were attended to - even upgraded our room, which we appreciated. The view from the hotel is also gorgeous. The only downside is that the hotel has no parking space, which we should have paid more attention to upon booking. The hotel, though, sent us a message upon booking regarding paid parking options.
