Dry-stone walls are an integral feature of the Yorkshire Dales. Whilst you will often see them being repaired it is more unusual to see a new one being built.
Here at Appletreewick I was fortunate to see a craftsman building this wall. I could only admire his skill. Whilst he finished the wall with a mortared coping, the wall itself is "dry".

"Fab 3 night stay in this amazing apartment. Walk to town 5 mins and close to everything you could possibly need (train, bus, shops, theatre, restaurants etc) Apartment was safe, welcoming, clean and well equipped. "Apartment had a really luxurious feel for our stay in Harrogate. It's so close to town that once the car is parked it was easy to get round all the amenities. Nice touch having some milk in the fridge so we could have a cup of team without going the shops first. We enjoyed Betty's, the Turkish Baths and Harlow Carr Gardens amongst other things."

"A just ok apartment to stay if you have no where booked. Apartment situated in a block. No parking available at place, have to use public parking within around the location which is reasonably priced at least. Very uncomfortable old matress that really needs a change. Renovation needed for entire block even corridors leading up to the apartment. "
