"Wifi speed here was best out of the three hotels i stayed in Beijing, including the sister hotel 161 on the corner of Lishi Hutong. Staff was nice and spoke english well enough. You are maybe 4 mins walking from the metro and the hutong experience is (obliviously sanitized) but well worth it. Room renovations are ideal and bathroom was clean. Paid around $50USD and i think it is a bargain."

"Without knowing Mandarin, we had a hard time finding this hotel, but it is really easy once you do. Very popular pedestrian street right out the door with many shops/ restaurants. Very famous Peking duck restaurant a block away. Delicious and a little pricey. Very close to Tianamen Square and Forbidden city and subway stops ( easy to use). Only downsides-- bathroom has large window with a thin shade that faces the beds, so not really dark and private like a normal bathroom; and limited staff...
