"This is an older motel that has been a redecorated to modern standards. As a solo traveler, I didn't feel entirely safe because the front door opens to the parking lot and the main road and the back door opened into the backyard of the motel and had a fairly flimsy door lock. It is tourist town Michigan, but you never know... I had enough room to maneuver within the room, but I think it would be a tight fit with two people and their luggage. It's a great location, 10 minutes drive from Oval...

"Beautiful four bedroom condo in the heart of Douglas. Clean, well equipped and quiet. Two of the bedrooms are loft bedrooms, so open. Entry is from the alley but the large stairway and well-kept entrance way is a plus. As is the designated parking spot. Overall, the unit is very nice. Roomy and furnished nicely. "We really liked the condo unit but unfortunately the lake was not great for us. It is next to a highway and if staying you really need a boat. There is no access for swimming. Swing bridge is in essence a marina and boat area..we had a baby with us and traveling to area beaches was a little tricky. I loved that they provided
