"My number 1 want from a hotel, since my trips are in the summer, is that the air conditioner works well. The Hotel De Ville's AC was the best I have enjoyed in a hotel including some that I paid a hell of a lot more for than I did the De Ville. The walk-in shower was also excellent. The staff was polite and helpful and you are in easy walking distance of the North Beach. Parking is 9.99 a night but it was pointed out as you make your resevation and there is a good chance you can park in a covered space. If you are looking for a clean, safe no frills place to stay this is it."

"Spacious and clean house near the aquarium and USS Lexington. I really appreciated how well-stocked the house was: linens, cleaning supplies, kitchenware, etc. were all readily available allowing us to have a couple of meals there. North Beach is kinda hit-or-miss for swimming, but in 30 minutes or less you can be at some better options on Padre Island. Really easy to get ahold of the owner for checkin/checkout.Only minor quibble: there is no hot tub. There is a jetted tub (not working) in the main bedroom's bath. But even with that one note I'd be extremely happy to stay here again. "

"I rented this condo for 5 nights with 3 kids (17, 16, 11) for a baseball tournament in Portland-about a 10 minute drive. We went to dinner in Port Aransas one night which is about 30/40 minutes depending on where you’re going. There is beach access from the parking lot. If you don’t like the beaches on the bay, it is a quick drive to a multitude of beaches on the Gulf. The front desk receptionist was polite and quick at check-in. My son and his friend asked me to specifically mention the bathroom in this review-they loved it; it has a rain shower but can switch to a handheld shower head. The tallest kiddo is 6’ and fit just fine. The entire condo has been updated and is classy and comfortable. I was nervous about the size with 4 people but it never felt cramped. It was perfect for us. There’s plenty of space for sleeping with both a comfortable full sized bed and air mattress. The futon also folds out to make another bed. There are extra pillows and bedding for the air mattress and futon. It has a full refrigerator with an ice maker. The kitchen has a small counter with seating for 4 and a small 2 seater table in the family room. The kitchen is nicely stocked with cooking utensils, silverware, et all. The porch has a side view of the ocean with enough room for everyone to enjoy. Watching the waves roll in at night was beautiful. The host was lovely, very accommodating and quick with response times. We really enjoyed staying here and are already talking about going back."

"This hotel is very nice and up to date. Restaurant inside hotel with great food. Nice indoor and outdoor bar. Very nice clean pool. Right on the beach. Rooms are very nice and clean. The best rooms for view are beachside with balconies! Black Beard and Pier 99 are great restaurants in walking distance with live music. Nice hangout bar also in walking distance. Free fishing, jet ski rentals, canopy and chair rentals on beach. All affordable! The Uss Lexington ship museum is right out the beach side doors. The Texas Aquarium and Art museum are walking distance. Several beach shops within walking distance as well. Surprisingly not over crowded! Very nice vacation spot for anyone! Will be back! P.S. check in is at 4pm but typically you can go at 2pm and check in early for free as long as your room is ready. If not you can keep yourself busy at the beach and shops! ;)"
