The hotel is located in the beautiful old town, the Medina. The room was very nice and clean. The staff are very friendly and extremely polite; they are always ready to help if you need anything. I highly recommend it.

Nice hotel on the edge of the Medina. The hosts were lovely people who were very helpful. Hotel was situated in a working class neighborhood but was very safe. Great value for the money spent.

It’s a very nice historical place, beautifully decorated. Clean and quiet . The bed was very comfortable. Staff were nice as well.
Breakfast was rather simple.
We booked two beds and got only one. The room was too small to put in another bed. There was other bigger rooms, but we were not assigned for, despite that we made reservation a few months in advance. This was a bit disappointing.

I can't say enough about how perfect this place was. The location is absolutely perfect and I used the map and recommendations provided throughout my trip. I stayed in the Blue Room and the original tiles were beautiful. The breakfasts every morning were absolutely delicious. Every one of them could be on the menu at any top brunch place in New York City. The cat also made my trip. It never came into my room, but waited for me outside of my door every morning wanting a cuddle.

This was a stunningly beautiful Tunisian Villa, authentically restored to its origins as a 17th century merchant's home in the heart of the souk. It was an authentic cultural experience with old world hospitality and modern necessities, free wi-fi and updated western bathroom. I was unfortunately here for only a short business stay, but I would describe the hotel as extraordinarily cozy and romantic. Delicious Tunisian meals were served in the beautiful interior courtyard. Our stay at El Patio Courtyard House was truly exceptional and a highlight of our time in Tunisia. Ahmed was an amazing host—warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive from start to finish. We arrived very late, and he personally waited up to make sure we arrived safely and were comfortable, which immediately made us feel welcomed and cared for.
The breakfast was amazing—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. It set the tone for each day and added to the overall experience of the stay.

Excellent breakfast, very clean, helpful staff. Less than a minute from Ave Habib Bourguiba. Will definitely recommend this place for stay. Very close to Medina entrance.

I highly recommend The Hotel Royal Victoria - Ex British Embassy, Tunis, Tunisia, for any foreign traveler, not because it is centrally located (next to the Medina) and tour companies frequent this area, not because it is an historically important landmark, not because there are local restaurants within walking, not because all the internal woodworking - doors, ceilings, furniture was updated and all are hand painted by local Tunisian craftsman, not because of the fabulous breakfast buffet, but...

I love this place. Really nice environment and decoration. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. They speak English which was very important since it is hard to find someone who speaks another language besides French or Arabic in Tunisia. Location was also great right inside the Medina very close to the Zatouna Mosque. Great experience !
