"Lovely stay, friendly staff"

"I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Bristol. As a first time traveller to Europe, having stayed in busy London hotels, I was quite impressed by the relative size of the room. All of the different staff from booking, through check in and check out were so warm and hospitable. I would definitely stay here again. Further, the building was immaculately maintained for a rustic (intentionally rustic) spot. The caretakers of this property known exactly what they are doing and are maintaining this...

"Signature room was great, good size , fantastic king bed and large well appointed bathroom (but could have had a hook near the shower for your towel). Staff at the hotel very polite and friendly, helped to change dinner reservation time after a delay on the golf course. Did however feel that prior to my arrival I called the hotel to ask about check in process and if my luggage could be taken to my room whilst they was playing my golf round and the chap who I spoke to was not as friendly and...

"Hotel pleasant . Reception staff efficient. Breakfast awful . Just shown to a table and left . No explanation . No cups - self service food was bland - barely warm and had to wait for food to be refilled . Few people complaining. Bar staff not too friendly either. Good location tho ."

"Imagine paying in advance and turning up with receipts, booking confirmation, the bank card you booked it on,to be told that I can't stay because you don't have photo ID , and then refused a refund. Well that's what happened to me.....absolute joke of a company. Avoid at all cost is what I'm telling my friends ."
