"Excellent location, Historic. Paid extra for large 4 poster bed and was very pleased with room. Excellent modern on suite. But lift only worked twice out of 6 times.checked contacts above all ok.lift old and not maintained well,shame I have heart problems.but managed with difficulty."

"Wasn’t impressed that I asked where the breakfast was served as it was included in the room, was sent to the restaurant and they told me I had to pay afterwards as that wasn’t the right room and by that time I’d missed breakfast in the room where it was included so I left hungry. The room smelled musty and the staff weren’t particularly friendly. Not the experience I had the first time I stayed here unfortunately"

"Gorgeous hotel, lovely spa & location fabulous. Loved that the breakfast was made to order. Only issues we had were that we were there for the night before & directly after our wedding which they were told on 3 separate occasions, and they didn’t do anything special to commemorate/ celebrate it. Also the fire alarms went off multiple times including in the early hours of the night apparently due to some guests smoking in the rooms which was disruptive and inconvenient."
