"Very helpful staff and excellent food."

"The outside of the accommodation looks lovely. Upon arriving I actually thought that I was at the wrong place because I couldn’t see any Best Western sign. I left, thinking the hotel was further up and eventually ended up back here where I noticed a tiny Best Western sign near the front door. Rooms are very dated furniture wise and there’s no aircon. The room was like a furnace. Obviously a known issue given that the guest book has a section about a small quantity of fans on offer. The evening...

"Met every expectation"

"Fabulous place to stay and eat."

"The hotel itself was lovely, but it was the kindness of the staff that especially impressed me. I would definitely stay there again"

"The room standards were not great, as the rooms appeared old by hotel standards. The heating systems were exposed, and a portable air conditioner had been added to the room, which did not give it the feel of a proper hotel room. The supposedly white dressing gowns provided were visibly used, although they had been washed. One of them was also very old and discoloured into brown, so I could not use it. "Clean room, fairly comfortable."

"Didn't use the spa / gym so can only comment on hotel. A thoroughly enjoyable stay with courteous, helpful staff. The facilities were splendid and the food (dinner and breakfast) was very enjoyable and well presented. Would definitely stay again and recommend for others!"

"Easy check in/out and not far from the motorway. A great place to stop off on a long journey"

"Perfect hotel"

"Amazing place to stay - rooms were perfect, clean and comfortable. Food was delicious, best hotel breakfast. Staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome - great place."

"A beautiful building full of character and charm. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the recently-refurbished rooms were perfect I would definitely stay here again. Thanks you"

"Sorry to have to say this but this hotel is really not great, even for the price. They advertise as 'no dogs allowed' (fair enough and something I don't disagree with) yet when I went to check in, upon walking through the front door the first thing that struck me was the overwhelming smell of dog, and to be greeted by two loud dogs barking at me behind the small check in desk before any member of staff appeared. Room was basic and not a lot of attention has gone into cleaning it. Thick layers...

"A fairly large room. Comfortable bed. Shower head a little on the small size so pressure was low but sufficient. Nice choice of teas/coffee etc Very friendly staff member. Good parking. Easy check out Would recommend"

"Nice"

"Great news overnight stay. Staff were really helpful. Room was lovely and the bed was very comfy. Food in the pub was good too. A very enjoyable stay. Would stay again if in the area."
