Our stay was great! Room was clean and management communication was excellent! I would recommend this apartment for anyone attending a function in downtown Detroit. We saved hundreds of dollars staying here!

Worst experience ever. These people canceled my reservation on the day I arrived and lied about the reason for the cancellation. Claimed my card denied but my reservation was booked 3 months in advance and they were sending me messages about what I was arriving to check up until the day before I arrived so if it was canceled why were they sending me messages and No I didn’t receive a email stating it was cx and yes they stole my money. Never again!!!

Inaccurate Description of Property: Bait & Switch?

Comments on Hotels.com Listing: The name of the property is Veterans Park Hotel and Vacation Rental Property Address shown as 3976 Caniff RD; actual address is 8636 Jos. Campeau St. Room described as Studio Suite; actually it’s a single cramped dormitory style room City View advertised; actual view is of next door Hamtramck Veterans Park Separate dining & living area plus balcony or patio described; none exist Premium TV Channels promised; Hotel has neither cable nor satellite - no CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Weather Channel, ESPN, HBO, Showtime, etc. What they have is local channels, channels showing old (ancient) TV programs, some old movies and shopping channels. They recommended we watch TV on our computers. You can get a reasonably accurate description of the property at their website: veteransparkhotel.com Comment on Stay: The room was clean and tastefully appointed. It was newly renovated with fresh paint, new tile flooring, new bathroom fixtures and kitchen appliances. The A/C could not be adjusted in the room, but was comfortable. Wireless worked OK and the location was good, being convenient to downtown Detroit and Windsor. There are excellent Middle Eastern (Yemeni) restaurants next door and throughout the area; and a couple good Polish restaurants nearby also. The room was small, but a good value being so close to the city.
