"Parking was a challenge"

"Clean rooms. Good air con. Good selection of drinks in room. Good quality products. Fridge and complimentary water. Attentive staff in hotel and restaurant. Bar staff a bit slow. Ordered bottle of wine and was not offered to taste it and had to open self even though it was on selected menu. Wine discount was not removed from bill and had to rectify following day when checking out. Not enough plates at breakfast."

"Room was very hot, no aircon, there was a fan, but in this extremely hot weather not really sufficient. Lovely room. Beautiful hotel. Charge service on bar drinks at 12.5% seems rather expensive when they come to nearly as much as the drinks itself "

"Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, being shown to a table which wasn’t ready or cleared on both mornings. The first morning, no one actually came and cleared the table so we had to find one ourselves!"

"Stunning building but the maintenance of it lets it down. The hostess at breakfast was very friendly and helpful, but the service itself was chaotic. They should be serving barista made drinks with breakfast rather than having queues at an instant machine. Some people were ordering from menus, others weren’t. The staff seemed very stressed. The room was basic but ok value for money. The spa treatment was the highlight"

"The overall presentation was acceptable, the interior of the room and hotel was good, however the air con did not work, so the hotel filled the room with fans and non effective mobile aircon. The windows were filthy and as we had access to an external courtyard, the cobwebs were off putting. Overall the hotel presented as s 3 star property and was a dissapointment for the chain as we have frequented many other locations if indigo."

"Unexpectedly an excellent nights sleep for a young family. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it was clean, well maintained, had very welcoming staff & Yorkshire tea in the rooms. The curtains were heavy black out, the windows kept the noise out, the mattress felt new and supportive & a fan was provided for the heat. My child slept & wasn’t woken up by daylight, traffic noise, the stifling heat or worries about cleanliness. Plus they could have a bath. Win."

"A lovely, quiet place and a great spot to relax. The hotel room and bathroom were clean, and the spa facilities were excellent. A big shout-out to Sam, who did my treatment—she was absolutely amazing and made the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the walls were not very soundproof, so I could hear people walking around at night. Other than that, I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend it."

"Dumbleton Hall has undergone a huge multi-million pound refurbishment, and it shows. The finish combines beautiful finishes, sumptuous fabrics and age-worn character features which have been tastefully restored. The staff were all extremely polite and attentive, with the exception of one evening when we were left waiting to order drinks. "The property is just lush. It's set in the most idealic area and the staff could not do enough for us. The Terrace tables were all taken so the staff moved tables fron the bar area outside for us. Incredibley friendly and wonderful service. Glyn Pernell was chatting with guests and spent a good 15 minutes chatting to my hubby and our friends about football and to us ladies about food. "Very nice breakfast and hotel staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms nice and clean although building itself seems a bit old with creaking floors. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were a nice addition although in need of a revamp. But overall excellent value for money"

"Arriving in the charming village and then pulling up to Buckland Manor was a dream! Every detail has been seen to with lovely staff, well furnished rooms, gorgeous peaceful grounds. We could pop on many walking paths right from the door and roam the countryside. One wouldn't need to leave this property for days with every need met beautifully. Exquisite!"
