"The location of this hotel is perfect…close enough to walk to everything but away from the biggest crowds. There is a wooden patio facing The Grand Canal…perfect to sit and watch the boats and gondolas. The staff couldn’t have been any nicer or accommodating. Nothing was a problem…gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and sites..arranged our water taxi upon check out to get us to the train station. "After being given a very small room we were delivered to be upgraded to a much nicer room with a beautiful view and big balcony. Sadly only stayed for two nights but would have welcomed being given the bigger room on are. It’s a stunning location and the hotel is steeped in history but it’s the most expensive hotel we’ve stayed in… and in addition we had to pay extra for breakfast! Which was lovely but really £1k for a small room and breakfast not included! "

"The location was excellent, and the hosts were accommodating and informative. The in-room breakfast was very good for Italy (fresh fruit salad, juice, coffee, yogurt and granola, and a small sandwich). It was a bit difficult to drive to using Google Maps and Apple Maps, as you must enter by crossing the Garibaldi bridge or you will get lost in a maze of one-way streets and pedestrian traffic. "This is such a great place to stay!! Yes it seems old but well taken care of. We had a canal view room with a balcony, it was a winner!! The room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful with the luggage. Breakfast wasnt too bad either, could be a bit better but still great. Had good variety but quality was a bit low. AC in the room could use a repair, at some points it wasnt cold. Wifi was great. Location was very convienent, right next to the train station which meant we didnt carry any luggage upany stairs. We walked everywhere from that location, lots to see."
