"The fireplace was wonderful, it did get cold enough to use it. The bed was comfy and the couch was perfect for napping or sleeping. The kitchen had nice pans and a few cooking necessities like oil and spices. We were fascinated by the hay bale construction of the cabin and how beautiful and warm the house was. We self toured our little section of woods and said hello to the sheep. Unfortunately the weather was quite cool so we did not spend much time out doors. "

"Charming property with delightful rooms. Victorian decor and old world charm. Staff was friendly. No elevator but stairs to second floor were manageable. Beautiful view from 3 sides in the Garden room. Location was convenient to walk to the falls. Bright dining room. Had an excellent dinner and continental breakfast. Would definitely stay here again."

"Front desk staff was nice but not conversational. Bar food took over 45 minutes only to find out cook was missing in action. Room not maintained well: Buttons missing from A/C, ironing board broken & bathroom door sticks. No mirror in bedroom, no full length mirror & bathroom window needs a shade since it lets light into the bedroom. We never received housekeeping service one of the two nights we were there. This hotel has a brand new manager so hopefully they will improve the guest experience."

"The hotel was conveniently located and very clean. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Because of the weather and downpours, we decided to eat in at Monks- and the service was phenomenal as well as the food! Definitely glad we stayed."

"The facility is clean and well maintained, plenty of parking and well located. I was given a handicap room and it is was very dark with false windows and frosted glass and dim light behind the glass. There was 1 lamp and bed lights, but that was not sufficient to provide adequate light for this room. The TV remote did not work, they replaced it but then the TV would not turn off, it had to be unplugged. The bathroom was awkward, no vanity and the toilet paper roll would not stay in the holder....

"This is an extremely well-run hotel. The rooms are modern and spotless. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is right in the middle of Cornell University so you feel immersed in the campus. If you reserve a view room, you'll get a great view of the campus. I would go back there in a heartbeat. And don't forget to walk down to Collegetown Bagels -- the food there is fantastic (way more than just bagels)."
