"The hotel staff are wonderful, very helpful, and pleasant, especially Angel, Erica, Juan & Lourdes. The breakfast was excellent-huge and fresh croissants, yogurt, Spanish ham, cheese, orange juice, and coffee. The streets are very narrow so you must drive carefully. It is best to drive a small car. "We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Sercotel Alfonso VI for two nights. The check-in was easy. We loved the size of the room, the linens, and nice view of the city. The location is in the center of town across the street from the Alcazar and one block from the main plaza. "Our room was nice and the location of the hotel was great! Close to the town and we walked from the train station taking about 15 minutes. Also the hotel has a nice view of Toledo! We did have a sewer type smell coming from our bathroom, however, that we thought would dissipate but it didn't unfortunately. Not sure if other rooms had the same situation. "Thin walls between rooms Had a lamp which was faulty, twice had to request bulb be changed , finally lamp was replaced. Also, wall outlet nearest bed was not functioning. Lack of elevator meant lugging my very heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs.No coffee maker in room , should be a given in hotel rooms these days ."
