But once you pull into the gates, it's clear why this is a highly rated hotel. Complete with welcome drinks, a luxurious pool, and a very attentive staff, this hotel was the perfect oasis before a rugged stay in the Amazon. There are quite a few dining options in Lago Agrio, but you could also relax and enjoy the on-site restaurant. The room was probably the nicest we had during our 3-week vacation. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. "
