"The hotel is secluded which I like but there were no food options unless you drove for 10-15 minutes. The room was unbearably hot. We slept with the balcony doors open as we could not cool the room with the thermostat. "

The bathroom was a bit of a letdown, however. It's large, which is great, but the towel hooks were barely holding into the wall and have already been "fixed" before, with exposed signs of poor repair. Beyond that, the counterspace around the sink is really tight, for how much room is available. Perhaps a shelf...

"Cute hotel at the end of a private drive. We had room 201 and shared with friends of ours. The room was very tidy and spacious, with a lovely balcony with great views. Yes, the bathroom smelled like sulfur but it's common in Iceland with hot water. The common area was very spacious and was a great place to hang out. "The property has been nicely updated, for the most part. The room itself was nicely decorated and the door from the showers out to the yard and hot tubs is convenient. Unfortunately, the condition of the bathrooms did not match the rest of the property, with cracked tiles, broken light fixtures and an overall dated feel. Otherwise a great spot right in the golden circle."
