"The location and grounds of the hotel is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Rita’s. Plenty of parking spaces. Breakfast was above average. My husband loved the set up and the place looked clean, We would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed 1 night to see the foo fighters, it was ok. We didn’t get back to the hotel until midnight, managed to get a drink from the bar and the member of staff said he was the only one working and had to close the bar because he had problems to sort out. The room was lovely and big with great air conditioning, however there were stains on the carpet and the taps in the bathroom sink were loose. Overall for one night it was adequate for what we needed"

"This was our return visit to the Doric Hotel & as before the staff were very nice especially the dining room lady Una, she was exceptional. I booked 2 sea view rooms in September 2025 but when we arrived in June 2026, our friends were given a side sea room. When we complained they offered to move them the next day (very disappointing as we’d booked months ago & both paid for a sea view room & expecting to be close together but we were on different floors) Rooms were tired & our bathroom had a bad water stench smell. Nice outdoor pool which we were able to take advantage of. Food was very nice & always a good choice. The evening entertainment was very much the same each evening just a different singer & some evenings felt very sorry for them when singing to only 10 people (which one singer described as a furniture sales room). Overall we had a good time but just need to sort out the booking system & update bedroom/bathrooms."

"Very clean rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Shower was very good and hot. Big tv, although it wasn't a smart tv in my room, but was blurry. Wouldn't let me screen mirror fully from my phone to the tv. Breakfast was very good especially the waffle maker if you like them. Was disappointed though with 1 of the 3 rooms as i did orginally book a family room for 3 people. But what i was told by my group of friends. They didn't get a family room as it would of been 2 beds and a sofa bed. So i was disappointed with that."

"Stayed for 3 days and had a nice time. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. Didn’t use room service but we did have breakfast and it was very good quality and a good variety of food. Room was spacious and while it didn’t have air conditioning there was a fan and the room wasn’t too hot even in the heatwave. Gave 4 stars rather than 5 because the bathrooms need updating and the bath could use a scrub. Would stay again :)"

"A good looking Hotel from the outside, the food in the restaurant smelled great as you climb the steps to the door. (There is a disabled lift around the side somewhere) Self check in with help available, parking fee arranged at this point, I had missed this on the website, it was £7.50 a night, not over the top but a surprise for me. Room is a bit dated, only two sockets on the desk and no USB sockets anywhere. Comfy bed, plenty of space in the room and good shower pressure! Now the downside, no Air-Con - this is mentioned on the web, but I happened to be there during the hottest June in forever! There was a Dyson fan... that was very weak with no controls apart from speed. At level 10 it did not reach the bed. I asked for a replacement but there are no spare fans. Shame as this is the only bad point I had, and the weather is not the hotels fault. Bar staff helpful, Breakfast from 6.30 till 10 was tasty with a fair selection, several different breads and I do love a china teapot! Self checkout, again with help available. Overall I would stay again, but on a much cooler day!"
