"The house is in a beautiful spot, looking out over a verdant manicured lawn sloping down to the jungle and then ultimately out to the ocean far below. Monkeys visit the property daily. It is up a long single track road that climbs up the mountain above the Golden Rock hotel. The house itself has a big wide wrap-around porch, and open doors that let the breeze through. "What a change of scenery this was compared to living in a city! Now that I'm back home, I miss the sounds of nature from this place. At first, the sounds of the insects, goats and chickens was kind of a shock to my system. I had a hard time sleeping for the first night or two. But I totally got used to it, and now I miss it. "Loved my room and enjoyed my few days on the property. It was quiet due to it being low season. I did appreciate the respect having a restaurant on site that serves local Caribbean food. There is nothing worse than a property only having “continental” food and not proving an opportunity to enjoy local cuisine. The staff were all friendly and helpful anytime I had a question. They were great about booking transportation and excursions for me."
