"This was a great ski in, ski out hotel, 2 restaurants, great breakfast, parking, etc. I’d recommend this to anyone. It was not however 1.5 miles from Cortina, it was about 6 km up a very steep, very windy road! "

"The highlight of the property is the valet. He also provided transportation to and from Cortina which is a little over a mile away. We didn’t eat at the hotel but rather went into town for our meals. The spa is only average but the service and staff are very attentive. Room 30 or the “romantic suite” is not worth the extra money because the romance tub is a waste of water and space and the room is not well designed."

"This place is adorable! We had such a cozy room. We wish we had spent more time there. The "feel" of this place was so appropriate for the region. The staff was very nice-- gave us advise of places to stop, restaurants to eat. There's such a romantic restaurant on the property! Like a dream! Other vacationers told us that their spa was fantastic, although we didn't have a chance to indulge. Hotel Columbia was just a few minutes from the gondola with the most amazing views!!! "I recently spent much of the month of July traveling through Italy. Of the 8 hotels we stayed at, Hotel Pontechiesa was the only disappointment. Pros: Our room was clean and the hotel is within walking distance of downtown Cortina. Cons: 1) Breakfast seating is assigned. In our case, we were seated next to a family with two coughing children. Most of the tables in the dining area were empty yet we were forced to sit next to two children who were clearly ill. During a pandemic, this makes little...
