"Very much a budget motel. The first room I was offered had not been made up and looked like someone was living in it. Linens were on a pile on the bed, there was trash on the counters and food in the fridge. Staff was helpful and moved me to a new room upon my report, but indicated the new room was also not ready and asked me to come back in 10m. The new room had been made up, but lacked basic amenities. There were no lights in the room aside from the overhead can lighting. The bathroom...

"This was our first time visiting Modoc County and we are so happy we booked Gooseloop Getaway for our 4-night stay. This lovely home is THE BEST place to stay when visiting Alturas and for day trips throughout gorgeous Modoc County. So quiet and peaceful, set amongst the trees yet just a few minutes drive to town.
