"This was a fantastic property for our annual family vacation. Our group included 8 adults, 1 teen, 4 kids over age 9, and 3 kids under age 6. The layout was great for our needs with the families with younger children having the space they needed for naps and earlier bedtimes, older/teen children having dedicated areas, and each adult couple having their own bedroom. The common areas were nice, there was more than enough parking for our 4 vehicles. There was a DG Market within 5 miles and a Walmart within 25 minutes. The dock was the highlight of the property for our family. The water was deep enough to dive into safely from the end of the dock and we had many hours of fun on the paddle boards and water trampoline. I recommend bringing your own lifejackets as there were not many on site and none were for smaller bodies."

"So many great things, hard to list all. I believe the staff has to be my favorite part of our week stay there. Lindsay at the front desk was an exceptional help in every way. J the maintenance engineer was also very helpful. The maids, exceptional as well. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel. "

"For being right at the lake the rate is very affordable. We took the kayaks out and walked into the water to cool off after we got back. There is no boat dock but we weren’t planning on renting a boat for the week anyway. We went out for dinner one night at WatersView Restaurant on the north side of the eating ferry bridge. The fried captain’s platter and spicy margarita was great. We also drove to the Palmer Point Park at the Kerr Reservoir. The beach was great. We stopped at lucky’s grill and dairy bar for a burger on the way there. We also drove over to Roanoke Rapids Lake Day Use Area to walk the trail but with the major heat wave decided to cut it short and go to the Riverside Mill antique mall in Weldon. The door code deadbolt wouldn’t open a couple times. If so you have to pull outward on the door knob slightly to relieve the binding and allow the motor to slide the deadbolt open. We had the same issue at our house so I knew what to do"

"The house and property were amazing. The beds and linens were cozy. We felt very at home there. The kitchen, bathrooms and utility room were all more than adequately stocked. We brought groceries and cooked and ate at the house each day & night. We much enjoyed our time there. If you are looking for a place to go and do nothing but relax, sit on the dock, enjoy the hot tub and views, this is your place. If you’re looking for entertainment, fine dining or amenities, this is NOT the location for you. The closest convenience stores, gas station, grocery, etc is 15-20 mins in any direction. It is very secluded. No door dashing dinner here. For us that was great since we were there to rest and relax for our anniversary. If we had brought our kids with us it would not have been as enjoyable since the water wasn’t clean enough to swim at the dock and boat/jet ski rental was quite a distance away & challenging to navigate. Overall it was perfect for my husband and I and we would definitely stay there again. "
