"We’ve been to the Burstin many times over the years, we particularly like staying in the balcony rooms. It does urk me though that you seem to be unable to request a balcony room when booking. They are always lumped in with the other Sea view rooms and it’s getting to be more frequent that we are unsuccessful in being allocated one. "

"This was literally a stop and go early next morning. The room was dated but spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies👍. "

"The hotel is under refurbishment. Our room has smells of paint. The water in the shower cant clean up your hair and body well as its so slow. "

"Hotel is under renovation so expected it to be a bit messy etc. lift didn’t work which was a bit of a pain but manageable. We stayed in a renovated sea view room which was very nice. Great to have A/C! Could hear EVERYTHING out in the hallway which was really annoying - the rooms are not soundproof. Breakfast was good - service was not great. Great location for The Leas and walking into town."

"Staff are attentive and friendly. Certain rooms need upgrading. Priority Investments for me would be new more comfortable beds, update bathrooms and towels are too small and thin. Breakfast is decent and starts at 6.30 so timing is great.."

"I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach."
