"We were greeted with a friendly welcome by the host whom also offered to carry bags up to our room, greatly appreciated. The room and bathroom had a magnificent view over the harbour and we then realise this is a gem of a place to have a weekend break from it all. That evening we relaxed with a wonderful meal, excellent wine and local music. That night slept exceedingly well in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was beyond expectation and seriously spoilt for choice, although it was busy we did not have to wait too long for our feast. We really appreciated the service provided by the staff, always happy, attentive and above all … friendly. Thank you so much for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. We will no doubt return soon for another weekend away"

"Everything about this hotel is first class. We had a superior room with sea view and balcony. Very spacious, plenty of storage space, lovely small extra touches such as fresh milk in the fridge. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, really excellent food. Also good facilities such as pool, sauna, games room and lovely gardens. One of the best English hotels we have stayed in"
