"It was a short work trip, but the stay at Van der Valk in Emmeloord was perfect. It is a beautiful hotel with a cosy atmosphere, spacious rooms, clean and quiet, all at reasonable prices. The food was good and so was the service. I recommend this hotel, whether for a business trip or a vacation."

"Love the location. Not in the bustle of the town but close enough to enjoy. Was quiet while we were there but could get noisy during peak periods due to the brewery link. Staff are very helpfull ln making our stay trouble free. Joined to a bar with great service and choice so did not need to go far at night. Great parking and on a main train link. Was suposed to be a three night stay why we found other accommodation but decided to extend as we were not able to find anything as good elsewhere. "

"No soap and no automatic room service No service after 11 and front door not easily accessible after 11. No bar/fridge in the room. No fitness center Location was convenient and staff was friendly."

"Stayed here en route to Schiphol. The room was in a kind of houseboat on the lake. It was a comfortable room - the wifi was great. The surrounding area seems to be a nature reserve. I’d definitely stay here again."

"I’m party disabled have pain most of the time, the owner/ manger has been the most helpful to my special needs as being just a guest, I’m trying say if you come this small nice town, you will find A nice, clean, comfortable with very nice proprietor ready to help you to have a nice stay! as a traveler NICE is my highest rating."
