"We arrived in Bologna by train for a 2-night stay and the Starhotels Excelsior was a great place to land. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station and within a 20 minute walk to the center of town, which made it ideal for our needs. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient, and the room was spacious - you could walk around without tripping over suitcases - with a comfortable bed. Also, it was very quiet inside the room - any noise from the street below did not...

"Photos make hotel look dated. But while the style is from the past, finishings are not worn and everything is of top quality. Hotel is well located between the train station and the heart of the action. We had a great stay and would love it if every hotel we stay in is as nice."

"Breakfast was very late"

"Tutto perfetto. L’unica pecca che ho segnalato alla ricezione è la vasca per la doccia, pericolosa. È alta e per uscire si scivola. C’è la toilette che impedisce l’uscita, inoltre non ci sono maniglie o altro. Sarebbe da togliere la vasca e mettere solo la doccia"

"Great location, near car rentals, train station, bus stops. Great breakfast. Good air conditioning."

"Sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück...für jeden etwas dabei. Anbindung in die Altstadt 3 min zu fuss zum Bus. Fahrt mit dem Taxi zum hotel ca 15 min. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely rebook. The location is centrally situated on a quiet street, and the breakfast display is excellent."

"We loved our staff, the lady at reception was super friendly and helpful, I was worried it wouldn’t look like the photos but it was exactly like the pictures if not better, we really liked the area and would 100% recommend Almarosa to anyone looking for great accommodation at a great price."

"This place is a nightmare. Too small, dirty, loud, no parking, and smelly. GREAT service though! The people were nice but the building was failing apart. With all that said, the biggest turn off was the Craft Singles slices of cheese offered at breakfast. We're in Croatia! A breakfast, by the way, I wouldn't suggest to my worst enemy because that would be too cruel. I added some pictures of the bathroom which includes a special featured bidet and shower combo just in case you're not...

"Great location, clean room & staff was very helpful & friendly! Right on the beach!"

"The staff were fantastic and really looked after us. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I highly recommend this great hotel"

"Had to change rooms because they were beetles and insects in the room(it’s up on a hill with lots of greenery)"

"Fair warning if you're booking this hotel. Make sure you are booking one of their actual hotel rooms. We mistakenly booked a nearby apartment (loggio) they rent and we were disappointed. The bed in squeezed into a loft with a winding staircase to the main floor with a couch and kitchenette. The bathroom was down another set of stairs on a third floor. Next to the bathroom was a storage room for your clothes. So, the bathroom and your clothes are two flights if stairs below your bed."
