"This hotel must have once been a grand establishment, but unfortunately the years have not been too kind to it. Many parts of the hotel are showing their age, and the place now feels too large and empty for the amount of business it sustains. We do want to give credit to the hotel staff for their kind service, and the rooms are really spacious even by Western standards. "Dogo Onsen Funaya Was a wonderful place to stay. Great staff at the hotel to assist you in any way. Excellent onsen on the grounds, which includes a sauna. Close to shopping, restaurants, and a public onsen. Our family had a great time!"

"Very bike friendly hotel, loved the complimentary drinks in the lobby from 6-9PM. The area is quite deserted at night and many restaurants were closed so you may find limited options."
