"Upside: clean room! However, the overall service is average for the price you pay. Basically you paying european money for services that are a quarter of the price anywhere else in Madagascar. Breakfast is expensive and you get served barely anything. I got sick from their mango juice. Do not hire their taxi service because it is well overprice. We orgaised the taxi ourselves and spent about 30 percent of what the hotel wanted to charge. You can get better and cheaper hotels in Madagascar,"

"We would definitely recommend the Royal Beach Hotel if you're thinking of staying in Nosy Be. As well as being a lovely, clean and enjoyable place to stay, the staff were what made it for us. Everyone from the team on reception, the dinning staff to the gardeners, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They all made sure we were well catered for. "Reception staff pleasant and helpful, new bungalows are beautiful, older ones cute and rustic but with very limited space and almost no closet / storage space, no air conditioning and some nights very loud from clubs down the beach. Breakfast was wonderful, other experinces in the restaurant disappointing (food okay, service poor). Cleaning in the rooms not very good - sand not swept up from the floor. Overall we had a good stay, but lots could be improved."
