"Hotel is good value for money, clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and speak very good English which helps as my Portuguese is non existent.
Breakfast is ok, bar and restaurant is excellent.
Location is good for water sports and the
beach with white sands is a 5 minute walk away along the
sea front.
Not much else in the locality to do for children to keep them entertained but the hotels pool may help. "

"We loved this hotel! It is so unique, being a 500 year old building, once a hospital and so many fascinating parts preserved, it's like walking around a museum! Breakfast was fantastic, staff were friendly and helpful and the pool was lovely."

Very good bed and bathroom. Very nice pool and good proximity to
beach, but
beach was a bit difficult to access.
Property was loaded with tour groups, which overran the restaurant."

"The property was spotless and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would say that a more detailed initial orientation to the spa and baths would have been helpful. We actually had no idea as to how things work, where exactly the facilities are, etc. Otherwise, this is a great location. We hope to return!"
