"This property is beautiful and the cottage was immaculately clean. We had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway with kids and dog. We hiked the nearby hydro Palmer Rapids portage route every day. The kids cold plunged in the river and then warmed up by the bonfire. The river itself is majestic at this spot and the view from the cottage sofa and the screened-in porch was excellent. Kellie and Florencia were easy to get ahold of and answered any question we had. It was so nice to be able to bring the dog with us. We will definitely be coming back."

"This is our second time staying here. The cottage is spacious in a nice setting by a small river. We needed to use the portable air-conditioner due to the high temperature this long weekend. We enjoyed the 3 + 1 kayaks and a well-maintained play structure for the little ones. The fireplace in front of the house was removed, probably due to forest fire hazard this year. The drives from our homes were long esp. for a long weekend stay this year vs. a week long stay last year. Drawbacks this year included our unawareness of a dishwasher that deteches from the base making loading and unloading dishes a little challenging. We also had to boil water in pots as the electric kettle was out of commission. We enjoyed our stay afterall."

"My wife and I (and 17 year old son) spent three wonderful days at this 'Rustic' cabin. The cabin was clean, quaint and exactly what one would expect from a 'rustic' cabin experience. The hosts Jason & Suzie were magnificent and went out of their way to ensure our trip was memorable. A very nice balance between relaxing on the property and adventures on the beautiful Westlemkoon Lake. We had a great time and look forward to returning."

"Bright, clean, and large cottage and property - truly a hidden gem. Pics and description don't do it justice! So many more cool features than listed, such as saucer swing, kids' kayaks, kids' ninja course and sand box, large lawn for outdoor games, floating water mat, wrap-around deck, and long shady driveway for walks to spot chipmunks and birds. Cozy interior, big bright rooms, very clean and well-maintained property. There is even an acoustic guitar to play in the living room! Kitchen has everything you need and more. Nice big fridge and freezer. Huge kitchen table is great for meals and playing board games on rainy days. Water around the dock and in the swimming area is clear and warm with shallow, gradual entry (clay bottom). Fish from the dock for small sunfish and rock bass or use the canoe/kayaks to tour around two small mini-islands (very close by) to see sunbathing turtles and loons. Quiet, beautiful property - would absolutely recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!"

"Great accommodations for our small family and dog as we explored Hastings County. Lots of fun in, on, and and out of the water. Jason and Susie were gracious hosts and kindly shared their knowledge the Weslemkoon area to help us get the most out of our visit. Looking forward to seeing the Eco Retreat continue to grow!"
