Even though the hotel pictures made the building look up and together. It was very tired and in want of some TLC. The carpark adjacent to the hotel entrance was limited to 3 hours. Obviously the local authority runs this facility, but it would help if the carpark was twenty four seven. Luckily, I was down for the weekend for the Rowing Championships and managed to park for free along by Deal Rowing Club.

Booked on the off chance for a last minute break and so glad we did. This is an absolute gem - comfortable, spotlessly clean and very charming. The staff were friendly and helpful. We wanted to stay longer but (unsurprisingly) the Royal was fully booked for the weekend. We’ll go back!

Great location and delicious breakfast hotel a bit old and squeaky and right by a road with no double glazing probably because it's a listed building. but enjoyed two nights stay and I'd return again.
