"After a 6 hour road trip with our two cousin 12-year old grandsons, we arrived at the DeSmet motel. We were upgraded to a room with two beds and TVs separated by lavatory and twin sinks. Perfect!! The following morning, the complimentary hot buffet fortified us for a day’s exhibition of frontier skills at Laura Ingalls Wilder’s homestead and museum. "
