Soundside Oasis | Heated Pool, Kayaks, Hammocks + Private Beach
Welcome to Blue Oasis, a spacious soundside retreat designed for outdoor living, waterfront fun, and unforgettable group vacations on Dauphin Island. With a private beach, heated pool, waterside deck, kayaks, and beautiful coastal scenery, this home is perfectly suited for families and groups looking to enjoy the best of island living.
Property Highlights: • Soundside home with private beach access • Private pool with optional heat available for $50/day • Beachfront deck with hammocks and secured seating • Calm shallow waters ideal for swimming, kayaking, and fishing • Gentle sloping beach with little to no surf • Great setup for children and less confident swimmers • Four kayaks, crab traps, and cornhole included • Open concept living and dining area • Covered outdoor seating areas with water views • DirectTV available in every bedroom • Gulf views from the property • Gulf beach access approximately 0.35 miles away • Not pet friendly, ideal for guests with allergies
Inside, Blue Oasis features a bright open concept layout designed to maximize gathering space and natural light. Warm hardwood style flooring, crown molding, and coastal inspired décor create a polished but relaxed beach house atmosphere throughout the home.
The living room centers around a large sectional sofa and wide sliding glass doors that bring in beautiful natural light and views toward the water. Coastal artwork, nautical accents, and comfortable seating create a welcoming space for relaxing after a day outdoors.
The kitchen combines style and functionality with white shaker cabinetry extending to the ceiling, white quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a large island with open shelving. Pendant and recessed lighting keep the space bright and inviting, whether preparing breakfast before the beach or dinner for the entire group.
The dining area comfortably seats eight guests and offers water views and natural light, creating a comfortable space for meals, games, and conversation.
Each bedroom includes a TV with DirectTV, allowing guests to unwind privately at the end of the day.
Sleeping Arrangements (Sleeps 12): • NW Bayview Master Bedroom – King bed, TV, private bathroom, soundside beach and water views, direct access to covered porch • NE Bayview Master Bedroom – King bed, TV, private bathroom, soundside beach and water views, direct access to covered porch • SW Bedroom – King bed, TV • E Bedroom – Queen bed, TV • SE Bunk Room – Two twin over twin bunk beds, TV • Additional Bathrooms – One common bathroom next to SW bedroom and one common bathroom in hallway leading to east side bedrooms
Outdoor Living / Beach Access Outdoor living is the centerpiece of the Blue Oasis experience. The private pool offers a refreshing place to cool off throughout the day and can be heated for an additional $50 per day. Covered outdoor seating areas provide comfortable shaded spaces for meals, relaxing, and enjoying the coastal breeze.
Just beyond the house, the beachfront deck creates a favorite gathering space with hammocks and secured seating positioned right along the shoreline. It is the perfect place to relax near the water, watch sunsets over the bay, or enjoy the peaceful soundside atmosphere throughout the day.
The private soundside beach creates a calm and family friendly waterfront experience. The gently sloping shoreline and little to no surf make it especially ideal for younger children, weaker swimmers, and guests who prefer calmer water conditions. Unlike Gulf beaches, the soundside waters typically have no rip currents and fewer encounters with hazardous marine life, creating a more comfortable environment for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and learning to snorkel.
Guests can launch one of the included kayaks, set crab traps, play cornhole, or fish directly from the property. While the property also offers Gulf views, the views are partially filtered by neighboring homes. For traditional white sand Gulf beach days, public beach access is available approximately 0.35 miles from the end of the driveway.
Nearby Attractions / Area Perks During your stay, explore Fort Gaines, the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, and the Alabama Aquarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Local restaurants, bike paths, and shops make it easy to enjoy the relaxed pace of island life.
This is a pet free home, making it a great fit for guests who prefer a clean, allergy friendly environment.

It was a smooth check in, beautiful view, clean, all the beds were absolutely comfortable, it had 2 fully accessible step in showers, and 2 tubs for kids. The pool was heated (cost extra) and felt amazing, plenty of extra anemities such as the kayaks we didnt get to enjoy it all cause the island itself had some amazing things to keep us busy. Defiantly would recommend! Seen alot of reviews about Misquotes and bugs but we didn't see anything. 4 days of straight sunshine and clear nights
We were a family of 10. We loved the house and the amenities. We had some bad weather and overcast days so the “heated” pool was a nice touch. Fishing wasn’t that great and the mosquitos will eat you alive! Loved the home and would stayed again. Only negative- kitchen needs more silverware and the pots and pans are in pretty bad shape.
For a low-key multi-generational family vacation, this was a great house. We loved being on the bay and still having fairly easy access to the beach. We would definitely rent it again. The house is very well equipped. This was the best rental kitchen I've every had, and we really appreciated having plenty of bath towels, as well as beach towels. The kayaks and beach toys were a nice bonus. Our only complaint would be that the livingroom furniture was kinda grimy and the deck furniture had mildew stains. We sat on them all anyway. The pool was a nice idea, but really too chilly in March to enjoy much.
Our stay was fabulous. The floor plan is well thought out. The private beach area on the bay side was a huge plus. We had plenty of room for everyone to gather together.
I would rent this house again hands down. Wonderful deck - comfortable beds - clean pool. The only thing you need for the kitchen is food and spices - everything else was provided. My family loved it!!
We loved everything about the house and location! The only reason we wouldn’t go back would be because of the mosquitoes. They were absolutely awful and kept us from doing some activities.

Unintended Consequences
The home is very nice and decorated well!
I think there should be more amenities like basic food items ( sugar, salt/ pepper, bottled water and etc.) or personal care, like paper towels or toilet paper.
The bug/ flying insects around the front door is a nuisance .
I wasn’t aware that we were responsible for partial cleaning after paying the substantial cleaning fee.
Removing sheets, taking out the trash and moving cans to the street, doing a load of wash , seems a little much.
A map of the local area amenities would have been a big help.
A better description of the home’s location, possible early arrival issues and no privacy on the back deck, due to the location of the houses along side this home.
Privacy at the beach , is probably only my issue, and no one else cares about it.
I realize the food issues and cleaning requirements may be a part of the Covid policy of the property management company.
Regards,
Taylor family
Great experience! Beautiful house with great service from property manager. The beach was great but the weather was unexpectedly much colder!! Otherwise the stay was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 5 infants/toddlers.
