"We stayed for 8 nights and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is new, modern and in a good location. Our room had a lovely balcony, and the air conditioning throughout the hotel was excellent. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights, with a fantastic selection and everything you could imagine. The rooftop pool area is also lovely, with a bar and restaurant. The food was very good, although service could be quite slow as the same staff seemed to serve both the pool and restaurant. Drinks were expensive and unfortunately the beer was never properly cold. The concierge service was disappointing. We asked about day trips and boat tours but were mainly told that everything would require a full day. We eventually booked independently outside the hotel and found options that suited us much better. The sauna is great, but having to book it in advance was frustrating. Reception told us it was fully booked one day, but when we went directly to the spa, it was actually empty and we were able to use it. Overall, a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities and breakfast, but the service and organisation could be improved."

"This hotel was like the Tardis - you wouldn’t believe it could be hiding behind the little door in the tiny street and yet there is a fantastic modern hotel shoe-horned inside a lovely old building. Incredibly close to the Pile gate, which made arriving and leaving with luggage very easy. Unexpectedly great free breakfast with espresso coffees and made to order food, served with a smile. Stylish, comfortable rooms with good air conditioning and no street noise. Great proximity to everything in Old Town. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Spa is amazing and can’t believe more isn’t made of it on their website. Breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious. Really comfy beds. Loved being able to jump into the sea directly from the cliff by the pools of the hotel. Only downside was, I left a couple of items behind and, when I enquired with the hotel a couple of hours after we left, they claimed there was nothing there when it definitely was."

"Edi is the sweetest. He starts your stay with a tour of your room and an explanation of how everything works. For the best view and room, ask for room 3…the bed is super comfortable!! He then gives you a tour of the city through a map, to help you orient yourself to the old city. You are literally steps from everything. Take Edi’s advice and do the walls early early in the morning and don’t skimp on his recommendation for pancakes (crepes) at Dolce Vita. Also heed his warning to not eat on the main plaza restaurants…there are plenty of hidden gems located up the alleys and stairs. Your girls from Canada had the best time!!"
