"This cottage is a breath of fresh air! It was just what we needed to restore us. Beautiful views of the marsh and ocean. I loved waking up to those views each day from the bedroom! We sat and watched so many birds and the tide change each day from the upstairs balcony. My teens had a wonderful time. This was their third visit to the cottage while growing up and it is their favorite place they’ve ever stayed. This trip was a graduation present to my son (this very cottage is where he asked to stay again and it’s the reason we came to Lubec). Even though we’ve only stayed 3 times over the years (due to distance from NC) our favorite family memories have been made here!! The cottage is perfect for nature lovers. It is well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing time and perfectly situated near great hiking at West Quoddy, Boots Cove Preserve, Cutler, Cobscook Trails and Campobello. We’ve enjoyed all. Catherine is a wonderful host. Kind and thoughtful. She left a great welcome bag as well:) The grounds of the cottage are beautiful with blooming flowers and nice touches. We were excited to see the new addition of a patio and lounge chairs outside of the art studio. The view from these chairs is beautiful. All 4 of us sat there many hours reading and drawing and looking out into the marsh. We used the grill and ate on the deck and the grill was clean and in great condition. The cottage has a cozy and relaxed feeling. It’s a special place indeed!! "

"We loved this place on Orange Lake. Such a cute cabin and relaxing. The living area looked out onto the lake and the kitchen were incredibly well stocked with everything we needed and then some. We spent an evening by the fire pit staring at the lake at sunset; they provided ample firewood. Patsy and Ken were great, responsive hosts. This was the first leg of our trip through Maine, and by the end, we were wishing we’d spent two more days at the Orange Lake cabin."

"Jamie and Damon provided everything to make this stay enjoyable. They even provided firewood for the outdoor pit and ingredients for smores!!! What a beautiful, tranquil spot, close to walking trails and the beach. Would highly recommend for your vacation!"

"Property was amazing. Beautiful, peaceful, very private location.All amenities were as described. The sauna was wonderful, especially to soothe sore muscles after a hike on the Bold Coast Trail.Would love to return during the summer to enjoy warmer weather activities.Highly recommend this property.Sue the owner was so easy to work with.Thankful she shared this little slice of heaven with us!"

"I can't say enough good things about this place. My husband and our two pups stayed here for a week for our 10 year anniversary and had the BEST time. The house has everything you could ever desire and was WELL equipped for cooking lobster meals at home as well as very pet friendly with a basket of toys our pups loved to rummage through. Everything is exactly as pictured; kitchen well stocked, very clean, SUPER comfortable master bed & couches, good communication with host/manager, and beautiful views for days. Things to bring: muck boots for exploring the low tide (they do provide a few sizes), bug spray, rain gear for moody weather, and recommend booties for doggy paws (it is rockier and more sharp shells than we realized at low tide and our poor pup got a minor cut to his paw at the beach). The owner even provided a set of doggy booties we wish we had used. Highly recommend doing a lobster tour of the cutler harbour, we had an AMAZING time and they sent us home with some lobsters and crabs, talk about fresh! Also highly recommend the coastal trail at Quoddy head State Park (incredible views) and Lubec brewing company for a beer after, and any of the hikes on the bold coast (boot head was amazing!) are otherworldly, last the public house has AMAZING food & cocktails for a fancier dinner. We are so grateful to have stayed here would definitely come back. We will miss those sunsets on the back deck! Thank you for an amazing stay!"
