"Staff at the desk and in the restaurant were lovely and upgraded our room even though we didn't ask. The hotel was originally built in the 1880s, so walls are very thin and we could hear people in the next room even though they were talking normally. The bed was very soft and I felt like I was rolling into the center. Otherwise it was a bit dated and creaky but certainly satisfactory. Right on Water Street where all the shops and restaurants are. The seafood chowder in the restaurant was excellent. The burger was good. There was music in the evening that was very good and was done by 10 pm, and all was quiet after that except for people coming in to their rooms."
