"First time staying here and we had a wonderful experience! I messaged them before we flew in because our flight was arriving at 10:30 am and they said no problem and had our room ready. I know that won’t happen all the time but this time it did. My 14 and 11 year old were sleeping together after the first night my 11 year old begged for a his own bed. He kindly asked the front desk for just an extra covers or a mattress on the floor. They brought him up a rollaway bed. Again they didn’t have todo that or could have charged us if they wanted to. Clean comfortable and close to everything!!! New hotel and they pulled out all the stops! They will have our business again and recommendation to future visitors! "I found it shocking that the beach was dirty in the morning. It was like a night club was there with all the bottles and plastic. City crew was on the beach at 6am. When I left at around 9am to go back to my room at opal, the beach was clean. This is not the resorts job because at least 50 more resorts, along with bars, restaurants, and stores share that coast in the gulf. And it is at least a thousand people on the beach daily. Maybe city crew should come at night or earlier than 6 AM. I hope they figure something out. But all in all my trip, the beach and activities was a 9.9999 out of 10. Opal I am sure share responsibility, but so do the other businesses and resorts. We should all do our parts. "
