Welcome to your private oceanfront retreat in Maple Bay, British Columbia. This charming 860 sq. ft. studio suite offers breathtaking ocean views and a serene setting just 22 steps from your own patio. With over 100 feet of exclusive oceanfront and a two-level patio extending over the water, you'll be enveloped in tranquility, listening to the soothing sounds of the sea. Look out for seals, otters, herons, eagles, and occasionally orcas in the tranquil bay across from Salt Spring Island. Guests rave about waking up to the gentle waves, unwinding on the oceanfront patio, and picking fresh fruit from the trees just outside the suite.

The south-facing suite features a luxurious queen-sized sleigh bed with ocean views. The fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, fridge, and stove, also boasts ocean views from the bay window. For your comfort, the suite includes a 40" Sony flat-screen TV with cable and PVR, internet, a cast iron propane fireplace, and a heat pump for quiet heating and cooling. Additional amenities include a full bathroom, in-suite washer and dryer, quality bedding and towels, and a private deck with a BBQ. Whether you're enjoying a sunrise from the sleigh bed or a cozy movie night, this suite combines comfort and charm for a memorable stay.

Waterfront tranquility

The unit was perfect for a private getaway. It was right on the water in between Nanaimo and Victoria. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails within an hour drive.

A Beautiful Place

Beautiful seaside stay

Upon entering the guest suite area through the magical “secret garden,” you are in a secluded quiet place with the lapping of the ocean audible nearby. A well-appointed kitchen with all kinds of appliances made cooking easy and enjoyable. The availability of kayaks was such a huge bonus; it would have been hard bringing our own on this steep property. Would recommend if you need to relax and the accommodation itself is your destination!

Lovely relaxing stay

We really enjoyed the stay at Maple Bay. The bay and surrounding mountains are beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the water and wildlife over coffee every morning. The hosts were very helpful with local recommendations for hikes, towns to visit, restaurants, and other activities. A peaceful and relaxing escape from the busy outside world! Thanks again!

Wee gem on Maple Bay

We wanted to get out of the snow and see spring on the island and this property didn’t disappoint. For Carole and I this property was ultra relaxing especially the terrace near the water. Will definitely look at staying again.
