Bath House Hotel

"What a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a superior double which was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry. The air conditioning was a real bonus, although unfortunately it did drip a little water on the floor. My only other niggles were the tv was quite small, the on/off switch for the lights was partially hidden by the headboard of the bed and there weren't any convenient plugs to charge my phone. However, when considering the overall quality of the room/hotel they weren't really a problem. I would definitely stay there again."

"Apart from a few bits of refurbishment, this hotel was fine and the staff very helpful; the food was excellent as well as the beer. We would highly recommend this location for its proximity to many locations in the South West"

"We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs from the exterior light, which to be fair to them you can't really see during the day, only at night, when they really don't visit the rooms. Other than that the room was well appointed, and mostly importantly clean, plenty of parking and a good expanse of grass for the dog to do what they need to do. Highly recommend if you want a pleasant stay at a very reasonable price. Many thanks to Gregg & Hollie, from Chris & Fiona :)"

"A really lovely property to stay in - felt very homely. Other lodges on the estate and they all are looked after and the area is also quiet. As this lodge is privately owned, you can contact the owners directly if you have any questions, queries or problems. Swimming pool on-site which you booked for 40mins, therefore having the pool to yourself. Local pub a 4 min walk away and a Golf Club a 5 min drive away, both served really good food. Chard and Crewekerne are a 5/6 mile drive away, other places to visit vary from a 30min drive up. A place to go to do as much or as little as you wish."

"Beautiful spot , surrounded by trees and a beautiful garden , although there is alot of traffic noise as it's on a corner of a fairly busy road, but it didn't bother us too much, apart from, if its warm, you can't have your windows open in the bedroom, we tried it and it's very noisy, so stick the fan on supplied in your room. .The cottage itself is really lovely, much bigger than I thought, with a lovely balcony to sit on with a private view. The owner was lovely ,left a bottle of wine, unfortunately we don't drink ,so a bottle of milk and a few bits would have been better ,we had to go out again after a very long drive to fetch milk , although later the owner found out and came over with a cup of milk, which was nice of him .My only complaint would be, it's very dusty , lots of cobwebs, especially on the balcony , but the kitchen and bathroom surfaces were very clean etc , and it's very nicely decorated. Perfect location for the many beaches, pubs, cafe etc. One thing I'd say is the stairs up to the lounge from the kitchen are extremely steep ,my little dog couldn't get down them he kept slipping as they are wood not carpet (which would be better and safer) so I had to carry him up and down the entire holiday and watch him to make sure he didn't fall down them . Maybe a bigger dog could manage better .But overall the place is nice and we had a great time, and would definitely recommend."

"Quaint accommodation, convenient for some lovely walks and day trips, including Bridport and the Jurassic coast. Instructions were great as we arrived in the dark but had no trouble finding the shepherds hut. Thank you. "
