Jackson's Falls Country Inn

"The Jackson Falls Country Inn is certainly a country inn about 15 mins south of the main town of Picton. Although it’s not far from Milford, it’s not really in walking distance to anything, so you’ll need your car to go anywhere. It’s conveniently located to Sandbanks Provincial Park and Waupoos winery. The rooms were big. Unfortunately our bed was on the soft side, where we prefer a firm mattress due to back issues. The breakfasts were delicious and served between 9 and 11am, which we found a bit later than we prefer, and was an extra charge though reasonably priced. The staff was very helpful. The Inn uses a well for water so the tap water smells and tastes a bit of sulphur, but there are large bottle drinking water dispensers available. Parking is tight but manageable."

"The property is absolutely beautiful. The gardens are a real showpiece. Our room was very nice - loved the French doors and the private patio, and the window coverings - so nice to see actual sheer curtains and beautiful heavy drapes that close. Bathroom was very large and well appointed, as was the rest of the room. Love the antique furniture and the fire place. The food at the restaurant was excellent, as was the service. The only complaint I have is that the coffee in the room was not good coffee, also the bathroom amenities were poor quality (the body lotion, shower gel, etc.) and the paper products (toilet paper, tissue) were not good. I did notice a ledge in the bathroom that was not clean, also a small cobweb over the bed on the ceiling, but all in all it was a very good stay."

"Enjoyed our stay. Resto needs a bigger menu but pizzas excellent. Staff superb. Art exhibit is wonderful. Rooms very nice. Room 20 shower on off not working well and one jet leaking.. Breakfast was excellent. Wines all really good. Rose pinot is high end. Unoaked chardonnay and pinot gris very good. Cab franc fabulous. Thanks for everything."

"The air conditioning unit was in the bathroom, it made showering chilly and the room on the warm side. The bed was nice and firm but the room did not a great pillow selection. The restaurant a crossed the street Tammy’s country kitchen had very decently price home cook food, it was excellent . We had supper and breakfast there."
