We ate at The Tavern Grill. Dinner was great and portions are not small. In the afternoon we walked to the Merkle Winery that sits on a hill overlooking the town and Verde Valley. The views are fantastic. Allot of stairs. They do have a funicula.

Cottonwood is definitely a diamond in the rough. Enjoyed walking around on Main Street through all of the shops. Highly recommend Colt Grill for a bite to eat. Also while in Cottonwood my wife and I did the Verde Canyon railway. So much fun.

Staying in Cottonwood is a great alternative to expensive Sedona options. It is close to all the fun outdoor activities but away from the traffic and chaos of uptown Sedona. Additionally Cottonwood has a vibrant local neighborhood life!

Charming old town with a friendly atmosphere, great food and lovely shops. It's close enough to enjoy the beautiful vistas and hiking in Sedona (only 20 minutes) but without the crazy traffic and busy crowds of people.

We really enjoyed seeing the Tuzigoot National Monument site with its excavated and reconstructed indigenous village and the ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad!

Our only suggestion is to improve the shopping boutiques. Some shops' inventory you could tell had been sitting there a long time and outdated. Some shops were either too "old lady'ish" or too expensive for the area. Dining options are fantastic!

We loved the Pillsbury Wine Tasting Room--walking distance from the hotel. Great wines and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We met lots of locals during our 3 visits w/meals. The location has a bar and multiple small inviting rooms!
"Lovely little property, just stunning. A beautiful, peaceful place on the outskirts of Sedona perfect for families, couples. I stayed fornbusiness and fully intend to bring my family back to stay."
"This was hands down the best property to stay at in Sedona. The surroundings are unreal and the service at the resort was next level. All the best hiking is right off the grounds. The sunsets and the night skies were unbelievable. Definitely one of the most relaxing vacations my wife and i have had in a long time, worth every penny. "
