"Breakfast was great! Hospitality was absolutely top notch. The pool is very clean, the water is colder than expected. Having no A/C is a change, but the area is not as warm as la fortuna. Great place in the middle of everything. "

"Cindy, the owner, was an excellent host. Very proactively engaged in our experience from the day we booked. The bungalows look into the forest and dining pavilion were new, modern, and well equipped. Cindy is also the chef, and serves and excellent breakfast and dinner. She also arranged activities for us, which was fabulous. The beds were comfortable and large, with an outside deck. The location is remote (which is the point of booking - for that tree canopy experience) and windy drive, so stock up on your own essentials! Thank you Cindy!"

"I loved this place. Definitely an authentic, beautiful, relaxing place to stay. The beds and linens are the comfiest I have ever had at a hotel, and I had an excellent night sleep both nights. The architecture and design of the building is just stunning. We have a large room with three beds and it was perfect for our family. Very close to Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Starbucks Farm. The breakfast that is included in the stay is superb. We also had dinner and it was quite nice as well. I would happily stay here again. "

"I visit with business annually but always remembered and welcomed by all staff . Rooms / chalets are perfect to experience rural CR and local … gardens impeccable. Food and dining is great … shame could not stay longer and I look forward to returning soon. "

"Rooms are old and bathrooms doesn’t flush properly. There are no other attractions around and have to go to la fortuna for any activity which is an hour drive. The resort is good with thermal spas and pools ."

"Wonderful trip- from as soon as we were picked up by a very helpful driver to our drop-off. The property is incredible - beautiful views of the volcano and cloud forest canopy, stunning trails along waterfalls and river paths, beautiful hummingbirds everywhere and fascinating encounters with frogs (the night tour was fantastic thanks Pablo) and toucans and big cats etc. Rooms are spacious and beautiful with stunning views. The staff are second-to-none, from the helpful front-desk staff (who had a night lunch waiting for us and an early morning breakfast due to our check-in house), to the warm and engaging wait staff, wonderful cleaners and park staff- all very knowledgeable and thoughtful and friendly. We did the white water rafting, zip line which were very fun- excellent guides again. The volcano walk, coffee plantation tour and boat safari were fantastic with a wonderful expert guide (Michael)- crocodile, howler monkeys, sloths, gorgeous birds. We learned a lot. Wish we could have stayed longer, highest of recommendations and thanks to all! "
