The closest tram station, Hebbelplatz, is just a stone throw away and opens up the entire city and surroundings to you. A Kaufland is within walking distance, but you want to use a car for bigger items or initial grocery run. The Doner place around the corner can be recommended as well as the Apollon Greek restaurant.
