"Everything was fantastic! It's aways nice when the place looks exactly like the photos. What we didn't expect was the the caretaker was so wonderfully responsible and helpful. We even got to sample his wife's rhubarb pie! I highly recommend Brownstone Lodge."

"Beautiful location on the water. Fireplace for turf fires. Basic accommodations but basic is all you need in such a fantastic locality. The folks in Carna were accommodating. Be careful while driving here - but you probably already know that."

"After a whirlwind tour of Dublin and Cork we found a refreshing change of pace at this bungalow outside of Oughterard to ring in the New Year. There was plenty of room for the five of us and it made a great landing spot for day trips to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway."

"Our stay was really nice. Make sure you navigate to the exact coordinates provided by the host on Google maps. Attempting to navigate to the address will take you about 1/2 a mile (1km) away. There are few extra amenities at the house. Towels were in very short supply, and one had a hard spot on it. There were no washcloths. There were very few cleaning materials. "The property is in an ideal location for Galway City and surrounding area.. It is dated and could do with some TLC ,along with the garden. The local area has some fantastic scenery and is almost a step back in time. The local Pub restaurant has a great atmosphere ,and the food and beer were marvellous! "
