"When I arrived in Newquay I was confronted with Road Works directly outside the Hotel and was forced to make a 3 mile detour just to get to the Hotels front door, I know this is not the Hotels fault but I did find it frustrating. The receptionist was helpful and made me feel welcome, which, in my opinion, is very important. My room was on the second floor and overlooked the afore mentioned Road Works but this did not have any real affect on my stay as there seemed to be nobody working on site. The room facilities were good, with light refreshments available and these were topped up daily. The room was cleaned daily and the bed was remade every day. The bar/restaurant was extremely pleasant, service was efficient and the staff were polite, helpful and respectful. All in all a very pleasant stay and very good value for money and I would be quite happy in recommending this hotel."

"Lovely hotel in excellent location, room was very comfortable, spacious with a newly refurbed bathroom. Lounge area served great food with a lovely atmosphere. Spa was fantastic although feel that as a hotel guest it should be at a reduced rate. Staff were all very friendly, breakfast a great selection. The only negative was we could hear next doors television late into the evening. Would definitely stay again."

"Breakfast was great. Fruit, cereal etc, cooked breakfast options from 7.30 We had a room with shared bathroom, which was at the other end of the hallway. The bed was very soft, but everything was clean."

"Well maintained, partially updated Victorian hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a beautiful large room with a stunning sea view. Very comfortable bed. Loads of wardrobe and cupboard space. Several comfortable chairs. Highly recommended"

"We stayed 2 nights room was clean bed was comfy . Had dinner at hotel first night very nice. Swam in the pool nice and warm lovely shower. Quite room. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again if ever in the area."
