"This is a real gem The amazingly fluffy towels, the super soft bed linen and the beautifully cooked meals. Plus the super friendly staff, especially the bar man, owner of the lovely dog Guinness who showed us to our room and looked after us in the bar. All in all a great place to stay."

Conon Bridge station (former). This overgrown platform is almost all that now remains of Conon Bridge station, which was an intermediate station on the Inverness - Wick and Thurso ('Far North') line of the (former) Highland Railway. The station was opened (by the Inverness and Ross-shire Railway) on 11 June 1862. It closed to regular passenger traffic on 13 June 1960, the line itself remaining in use.
