"Room clean and house keeping staff and reception very pleasant Just a shame about having to pay £7 a day for hotel private parking and it ’s not even in the town centre it’s about a 12 minute ride on the bus to the town centre Besides this a very nice hotel"

"Property full of character staff are excellent very helpful and polite we had a comfort room and it was more than adequate for our needs with a large bathroom. Breakfast was super a massive range and choice from full English to toast and jam, cereals or continental a great stay and we will return"

"The hotel is fabulous. The room was really nice although some work was being carried out on the roof by our window, they were not working when we were there. The staff are absolutely first class and can’t do enough for you. The hotel is well located for all of the sites. One down side is the parking. York is really expensive for overnight parking. However, I was able to find street parking not too far from the hotel, but do not let this put you off. We will definitely go back here."
