Como is a nice town. Very walkable. It has plenty of restaurants and cafes. It has good transport links, we spent an afternoon in Lugano Switzerland by taking a train from como. We also did a trip to Milan by train to see AC Milan.

Book ferry tickets to Bellagio early. Could only book in person so took a long time. We eventually chose to rent a small boat and go out on our own in the lake. Very fun!

Very busy place, but very beautiful. I would go again but ensure I have more time to explore the surrounding villages (if the weather allows) 😉

Unfortunately the civic museum and the funicular were both out of action for restoration but otherwise a lovely city with very good restaurants.

If you don't have much time then at least take the 1 hour ferry trip to see some of the scenery around part of the Lake area.

Como is charming and old school. If you want something more upscale, visit Bellagio.

When you go to como you have to accept the fact you will queue. You queue for the tickets to the boats and then queue to fet in the boat! Other than that it is perfect for a 3 to 5 night stay. A wewk would have been a bit much.
"Perfect location facing Lake Como. Clean rooms. Staff were pleasant and professional. Very small elevators 😀..so used the stairs. Breakfast each day was included which was ok as the selection was the same for the 5 days we were there. Still recommended. Great location."
"The room was fine with a lovely shower. The hotel is not far from the motorway and easy to access. We liked the secure underground parking and the breakfast. The small shop in the lobby sells drinks and snacks and microwave meals. Pinocchio bar down the road was good for beers and there are several restaurants within walking distance."
